Venus Bay - South Gippsland, Victoria, Australia.
One thing i do love is finding places that not many people know about. This is one of them; a stunning little spot a few hours drive from the city of Melbourne. And the real beauty of this place is exactly that - surprisingly, not all that many people know about it. Even in the warmer months the beach can be completely deserted (if you’re lucky!) and the golden sand stretches on, literally, for as far as the eye can see. This place really is one of Victoria’s best kept secrets.

Kauri Trees - New Zealand.
This isn’t the greatest photo, but sadly its one of the only i took of the kauri trees while in New Zealand. I had to post it, simply because these trees never cease to amaze me. Some were up to 50 meters tall, and had a trunk circumference of over 16 metres! Let me put it this way, they will definitely leave you feeling like you’ve just stepped out of our planet and into the monstrous world of a giants.

The Great Ocean Road, Victoria, Australia
The rock formations in this photo, while taken at the 12 apostles viewing point, are actually not of apart of the 12 apostles themselves. On a clear day the gaping coast line rolls on for what seems like eternity - it’s annoyingly hard to capture the breath-taking size of the landscape and true beauty of the location. Standing on the edge of those cliffs and looking out onto the wide rolling ocean mass, astronomical cliff faces and rock formations really reminded me how tiny we are in comparison to the planet we live on. Sometimes its easy to forget ;)

A lone black swan. Albert Park Lake, Melbourne - Australia.
I took this image at Albert Park, a mere 3km from the Centre of the Melbourne CBD. To me its like an inner city haven - a perfect, picturesque lake with beautiful surrounding park lands. The perfect spot for an afternoon stroll :)
Starting anew.
I’m just sending my balloon up into the world of tumblr to check it all out and see first hand what the fuss is about! Traveling is one of my biggest passions, and while i haven’t traveled all that much in my very few years on this amazing planet, this blog is just a collection of my photos and notes, dreams and real life experiences, from both my life in Australia, and my travels around the globe so far. As once said by American Author Susan Sontag, “I haven’t been everywhere, but it’s on my list.” Let this be the beginning. ;)

Bondi Beach, Sydney, Australia.
This was taken on a surprisingly warm, cloud free day in early September on a trip to New South Wales. It was absolutely amazing; the radiating sun, the smell of freshly applied sunscreen and the soft crashing of waves intermingled with the skwarking of seagulls - it felt like the first day of summer, a real treasure after what seemed to be one of the coldest and wettest winters i’ve experienced (Well, ‘cold’ for us Australians at least)
